The annual Tiger Trophy match played between Broadstone Golf Club and Parkstone Golf Club was held on Friday 23rd of August, this year it was the turn of Broadstone to host the match.
The day started with Broadstone Captain Allan Hutchins giving his team a rousing speech to try and push them to victory and wrestle the Tiger back from Parkstone's clutches.
Allan's speech did the trick and his Broadstone team did him proud with victory over neighbours Parkstone. In the speeches after the match both Club Captain's commented on what a fantastic fixture the Tiger match is, and has been for quite some time. The matches are always played in fantastic spirit with friendly rivalry and that there's a true feeling of camaraderie and friendship between the two clubs.
It's now up to current Vice-Captain Graham Wilkin to do what has not been done for some time, that is, go to Parkstone and defend the Tiger Trophy next year! Good Luck Graham.
